The new header for the museum was made by the illustrator, art director and “lomo” fanatic, Vanessa Teodoro. Also known as Van, or just V, she finds inspiration in African art, Comic books and her daily life, in an avid search for the next idea to be put on paper.

Creyz

CREYZ is a Portuguese artist, old school, pioneer in a lot of graphic trends from Lisbon. He’s part of the GVS, the oldest active crew in Portugal.
His work is totally versatile and he’s one of the most complete and respected Portuguese artist. He’s known for his character designs, such as the dog, the three eyed space ships, and also his letterings, at same time complex and simple, but always with the same style.
He does a bit of everything, from graffiti bombing to the hall of fame, and his work is spread all over different cities and transports in Europe.
This work was part of an event carried out by an art gallery, for the São Bento festivities week in August 2008.

LIG

LIG is a Portuguese artist who comes from the latest graffiti generation. He’s one of the pioneers of the street art movement in Setúbal. Art student, we can find his figures in many walls, stickers and graffiti demonstrations in Lisbon. His work was part of a few exhibitions in the country. His technique goes from pencil to aerosol or even wall paint.

This work was part of an event carried out by an art gallery, for the São Bento festivities week in August 2008.

Kenor

KENOR is an artist from Barcelona that takes his art to many different countries in Europe. His graphic work is unique and with a personal style.

He uses aerosol technique to paint his work in the city’s degraded surfaces.

In Lisbon we can see one of the artist work in the area of São Bento, painted during the festivities week of the city in 2008, with the support of the city hall.

Gladly we can see one of his pieces here in Portugal and inside the Ephemeral Museum.

Tosco

TOSCO is an artist from the East side of Lisbon that has been painting for many years now, but only nowadays takes his art to a wider audience. Throughout his career he has used many different names. Never the less, in the past year he practically stopped painting letters to dedicate himself to painting big characters with an unmistakable and visually refreshing style.

This work was part of an event carried out by an art gallery, for the São Bento festivities week in August 2008.

From the cave

FROM THE CAVE is a Portuguese artist from the east side of Lisbon. He started painting in 98, and since then has been an active writer in the city belonging to two of its best crews, under other names. His work is very versatile and shows almost everything from dolls, landscapes, etc. But the artist focus is on letters and its decoration.

His technique goes from pencil to any object that can be used to draw. He’s an outstanding artist in technique, and complete when it comes to graffiti, because he doesn’t stop at the hall of fame, or space decoration. He’s a good graffiti bomber both in lettering as in tagging, and also has exceptional characters.

He costume makes walls, pins and anything that can be painted, and he’s also great in digital graphic arts.

1003 PV is a reference crew in Europe from the Lisbon suburbs. This crew is internationally known for its “toy style” characteristics, meaning they strive to get back to the origins of graffiti.

Their work is spread over different cities of the world, and stands out for its unmistakable style. Using the most primitive resources, such as car paint cans, or low quality materials, they keep true to best represent the most pure and original old school graffiti.

Chure and Elius

CHURE and ELIUS are two young Portuguese artists from the area of Lisbon that started to paint around the year of 2000. Since then, their work always strived for great technical quality.

They play with typography both in shape and colour. They use aerosol cans from different pressures in the wall. Along with work in walls, they also costume make sneakers, t-shirts, hats, etc.

Exas

EXAS is one of the very first graffiti artists in Portugal.

In the 90’s his name was all over town, with a superior technique in quality as well as style. This artist was, and still is, considered the King of the 90’s.

This recognition made him one of the most important artists in Portuguese graffiti and one of the most important influences in upcoming generations that followed.
